⚡️InMarketing This Week: One man show. Concentration risk occurs in marketing too
[Transcription] To the envy of CEOs everywhere, Elon Musk famously doesn’t spend a dime on advertising at Tesla. Indeed, he doesn’t have communications, PR or marketing teams. And while great customer experience, word-of-mouth, and company purpose certainly help compensate for their absence, there’s no doubt that Musk himself - and particularly his ongoing Twitter presence - fills the void. He is Tesla’s one man marketing team. That’s wonderful. Until it’s not.

@fly4dat: Chinese Tesla prices in USD, net to Tesla have decreased by 25%+ from 22Q2/Q3 to today. If you think manufacturing excellence has allowed this to happen while Lithium Carbonate prices have increased by ~40% in 2022 alone, I have a CyberBridge to sell to you.

@fly4dat: As @jaberwock2 pointed out, there is a big mistake in my table above regarding VAT, which is in fact 13% instead of 10%. Percentages don't change, but net to Tesla values do.

⚡️The Dim Sum Bets: $TSLA past, present, and future
[Transcription] Below is a chart of TSLA 0.72%↑ since it went public in 2010. You can see clearly that it has had two big up thrust moves in its entire history.
As stock speculators/traders/investors seeking to achieve superperformance, you would want to get involved at just the right time to participate in those up moves and sit out while it's basing because the basing period can be quite long and holding the stock while it’s chopping is a complete waste of time.
In other words, holding the stock while it’s in big, long consolidation period has its opportunity cost, even if the stock doesn’t go down.

We wrote up TSLA as a short here in June, we’ve covered the ticker more than any other, I’m personally still short the stock...and with all that I am absolutely stunned by this chart.
TSLA has declined for 7 straight sessions (-31%) and 14 out of 16 (-44%). Incredible.
The worry from the short side is Q4 delivery figures next week, but it seems quite telling that Electrek hasn’t published its usual leak ahead of time. Getting in range of covering but a double-digit SP absolutely is a near-term possibility.
